Ask me anything.

I love interviews. Interviews with celebrities, interviews with bloggers and influencers...you name it! And while I am not a celebrity, I thought I would take the copycat approach and try it out for myself. It's all flattery, people!

Last week I polled the IG community and empowered them to ASK ME ANYTHING so long as it was kind spirited. I promised I would post the answers on my birthday <last Wednesday>. Well, Wednesday came and went and I didn't do that. Truth is, I was having too much fun in NOLA with my husband and YOLO!

So, here we are...a little bleary eyed from the weekend and definitely more sober -- ready to respond. I really expected this to be a flop which would have been somewhat embarrassing but much to my surprise, y'all had questions which basically makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. So, thank you!

Without further ado...here is my first ASK ME ANYTHING:

  1. What would advice would you give your 25 year old self?: It really comes down to this - don't rush life. Don't try to keep up with the others. Do you and don't compare your life to others. They are on a much different path.

  2. What do you think is the ideal age to start a family?: Times have changed. I was not ready from a maturation standpoint in my 20's. Many are. I think 30 is a fantastic age. You know who you are, you're established in your career, you have some money, you're still fertile and you've completed the toughest decade of your life.

  3. How hard was it to adjust to the suburbs from the city?: It was not that hard for me. I was ready. We had two babies back to back and we desperately needed space. Space for double strollers, space for more toys, space for another crib. It was a trade off.

  4. What concealer do you use?: I use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye. Gamechanger.

  5. How often do you get BOTOX?: Every four months on my forehead and around my eyes.

  6. What prompted you to quit corporate America and start a company?: I didn't feel challenged. I loved new business development but I wanted to do things my way and I was executing enough freelance social media work that I knew it was a matter of time before something had to give.

  7. What's your biggest pet peeve?: Inauthenticity...people who have a superficial motive or are only looking to gain without any give.

  8. Who does your hair?: Jordan Heidenwith out of Dennis Bartolomei Salon in Chicago. The best!

  9. How many days a week do you work out?: I aim for six, always five.

  10. What is your favorite trait about your husband?: His sense of humor is by far the best. You have to be pretty damn smart to be funny.

  11. What are you most looking forward to about turning 40?: Caring less and less what people think! Hands down.

  12. Do you wish you would have had a boy?: Sure, that would have been nice if I had started earlier but that is not the case and I am totally okay with it. We have the perfect, little nuclear family.

  13. What's the hardest thing about starting your own business?: I would say starting with zero resources and eventually, hiring. Finding great people is no joke!

  14. What's your favorite restaurant in Chicago?: Ahhh, this changes frequently. Right now it's Barrio. I love me some good Mexican!

Thanks for playing, guys! This was fun. Should we do another in the near future?
