It’s come to my attention that I have a fear of slip dresses. Yes, you read that correctly. I have never purchased one up until the Spring of 2019 for two reasons: 1. I thought I wasn’t skinny enough. 2. I didn’t know how to layer them. This illness is known as “you’re dumb” and can be cured but going out on a limb and actually trying one on. Novel idea.

Pro Tip: I recommend finding an inexpensive option so if it turns out that you truly do not like it and you can’t return it - it doesn’t hurt your wallet too much. Believe me, I’ve made many a fashion blunder.

Here’s a couple fresh ideas on how you can re-style this piece over and over again:

Not so difficult is it? You’re shaking your head yes and I agree with you. The key is to size up, IMO, so that you can layer tissue thin turtlenecks and sweatshirts and button downs with it. After that, it’s really all about having fun. I have a strong affinity towards rugged boots with these looks because the slip dress itself is so feminine. It could be equally as cute with simple ballet flats or Converse sneakers, too.

So, hey…get uncomfortable with your fashion, too. After all, no one will remember what you wore two days ago so you might as well do it for the ‘gram!
