Summer arrived and I wasn't even prepared. In the best way possible! Packing up warm weather tops and cut-offs for Mexico seemed only temporary but Chicago had something special in store when I returned!

It's been a full week of summer weather and we're soaking it up. Break out the grilling tools and popsicles! My little family couldn't be more excited and I'm thrilled to shed some layers. On rotation: OTS tops and cut-offs everyday. You'd be hard pressed to find me in something other than this on the weekends. I'm a complete one trick pony and I'm totally owning it!

While much of the world continues to be on the mend from such a tumultuous year, I continue to feel optimistic that better times are ahead. A year later…happier dresses, happier times. We’re seeing more vaccinations, less mask mandates, more in-person get-togethers and overall, a heck of a lot more joy. This Spring is so very different then Spring 2020 and I am grateful for that.

…and just to prove how extra I can be, I paired this ensemble with a houndstooth tote. A bit much? Perhaps. My coat is on super sale so grab it now! I’ve been wanting one for years and this oversized version fit the bill. It’s all about the details. The ruched sleeves, the oversized lapel and the large-scale pattern. I will never tire of houndstooth. This is a print for all generations.
