I swear it was 70 degrees recently. And this, my friends, is the perfect outfit to transition into Spring; ideally for work. I bought it at my girlfriend's boutique - Sanems - and she advised that I could wear it with tights in the winter but I haven't been that brave. I do picture textured, black tights with booties though. Definitely going to file that one in the back of my brain.

I am so excited to enter a new season and in dire need of tops. Why is it we are always low on tops? Is it just me? No worries, I've found some great ones.
P/S Are you as obsessed with bow mules, loafers and sneakers, too? It's literally taking everything in me not to purchase a pair but that's what birthdays are for!

For example, last week I wore this "almost leather" skirt to our seminar and meetings. Yesterday it was 92 and I was wearing a sundress. I surrender. Don't I say this every year actually?

I've had this trench for some time and I am always happy to break it out again. It's one of my favorite basics. It's funny when you purchase something that you aren't ultra excited to wear but then find it's one of your most trusted pieces a decade later. I suppose that's a testament to our personal style evolution.

As my husband so aptly put it the other day, "Are we in the 'wear once' mindset or what?" He asked this after I rented a dress from Rent the Runway. And he's probably right...I have many dresses in my closet but that's a different story for a different day!
Read MoreSpring is the yin and yang of fashion. It you live in Chicago, you might actually turn both the AC and the heat on within the same day. It's what inspired today's post -- 20 pieces to take you through transition weather. Blouses, denim, dresses and strappy heels. Some of my favorite items and ones that you should stock up on because they never go out of style. I find myself layering a lot during the season because you can always shed the layers = smart dressing!
