2014 has proved to have a very distinct MVP where my sartorial choices are concerned. The party skirt. By far, this item gets the most ROI in my closet and I quite like it that way. Nothing takes the guess work out of getting ready like a chic skirt. All that's left is some fab accessories and a basic top.

I love the juxtaposition of classic meets tough in any size, shape or format. It's easily the most affordable way to get mileage out of summery prints and transition them into Fall.

Fact: this is the first year I refused to buy sugary coffee drinks. Pumpkin lattes included. It's weird I realize but all I crave is black coffee. Is that odd?
