Grunge.

Lately I've been wanting to change up my usual sartorial choices. Sometimes I don't feel my inner girlie girl. For this look, I wanted to punch it up with a textured, layered look. My cami is faux leather and could definitely be worn alone, however; I thought it would be fun to add an extra layer of warmth rather than put it on reserve for warmer temps. My boots are from Zara. I reach for them constantly and I love the way they look with tights and dresses, too.

Pumpkin fest'ing!

This is the second year in a row that we've attended The Great Highwood Pumpkin Fest. It's super fun and super Fall-y. Our kids love it and this weekend couldn't have given us better weather. It's hard not to be in a great mood when you bust out a vest and drink a Bloody Mary on what appears to be a mile-long block party. Win/Win, right?

Transitioning.

Summer made a return visit and I definitely missed the memo because I was boiling yesterday. At least I figured out a fun, remixed outfit with all my favorite closet staples. Black and white is always a good idea.

So clean, so fresh.

This weekend brought a smile to my face. Warm temps, windblown hair and plenty of fresh air. We celebrated St. Patrick's Day, too which is kind of funny considering we are not Irish. As my husband said, "If you live in Chicago, everyone is Irish this weekend."

And we all know a Sunday well spent brings a week of content!

Happy Almost-Thanksgiving friends! Can you believe it's here? I mean, December is next week. It's mind-blowing to me. Just when I don't want to age and slow down time...it speeds right the heck up!

Did you know it's summer again in Chicago? Yup. 78 degrees. Not that I am complaining but it really spins my fashion mojo out of control. Just when I slip on my plaid coat, we get pink skies and sunshine.
