Searching for a new salon can be a daunting task. Overwhelming at best when you live in a city like Chicago. The streets are cluttered with high end boutiques, salons and medspas a plenty!
If there's one thing I have on my side, it's the influence of my fellow bloggers...like Brett! When my hair was in dire need of some TLC, I reached out to my fellow blonde. Without a moment's hesitation she told me to call Dennis Bartolomei Salon. We've been going steady ever since.
I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover but I did. (at least I own it!) The giant mahogany doors opened up to a Vogue-style salon with rich upholsteries and a sexy staff.
The other thing I noticed right away, no clutter. This is big for an OCD person like myself. Dennis and I are kindred spirits in that sense.
Under the expert eye of my darling stylist, Jordan, my consult lasted all of 15 minutes and he was off to mix color. Jordan is an intent listener but he knows how to take the reigns and make your vision become a reality. It's one of my most favorite things about my stylist turned friend.
Honestly, Jordan's personality is what made me fall for him so fast. Well, that and how amazing my hair looked every time I stepped out. We talk and talk and before I know it - he's putting the finishing touches on my beachy waves before I rush out the door to my next meeting. He's 100% respectful of my time even when I'm running late...which requires an exorbitant amount of patience. (this I know.)
The product offerings are drool-worthy as well. Think the best of the best. You won't find the same old lines that every salon carries. With brands like Iles and Shu Uemura, I always strut out with the faint smell of sophistication. My bathroom is well stocked, too!
When your husband asks you if you did something different with your hair, you know you've arrived. In the past, my husband would ask me if I did something different with my hair about five days into a new color or cut.
Honestly, this review is as authentic as they come. Dennis Bartolomei Salon is like a second home for me. I'm always greeted with huge, genuine smiles and there is coffee on hand without a request even leaving my mouth. I love their team and I love my stylist even more! To the tune that we have a double date on the books because he's just that fabulous!
Dennis Bartolomei Salon definitely knows blondes but the buck doesn't stop there. They handle every hair request with precision ranging from extensions, to eyelash extensions, cuts to color, to brazilian keratin to blow outs. They've got you covered...but don't take it from me...see for yourself and book an appointment stat. It's time for Fall hair, ladies...

Do blondes really have more fun?
Maintaining this ashe-y blonde hue is an absolutely commitment. If you’re going to pursue this shade of blonde, you have to know what you’re signing up for. It’s been several years and lotsa dollars for me but I absolutely love it.
