Style goes in and out, but one thing’s for sure: you’ll never NOT need a classic nude lip. Nude lipstick is a staple in most of our collections, and never conflicts with whatever we may be wearing. It’s our go-to, our “ride or die” and #1. Sometimes it can be hard to find the perfect shade to compliment your undertones. Good news! I’ve compiled a short list of nudes you NEED to know about (*in no particular order) :

MAC - Velvet Teddy

MAC definitely made history with the release of Velvet Teddy. This lipstick leans on the warmer-tone side, but is definitely still a great neutral. It has a light brown undertone with a matte finish, and is incredibly long-lasting. (like many of the other lipsticks by MAC). It wears beautifully, so if you didn’t bring it in your bag, you don’t have to worry about patchiness. (a personal favorite.)
MAYBELLINE - Baddest Beige

This is one of those lipsticks that definitely lives up to its name. An incredibly affordable option, you can snag this lippie for as low as five bucks. It has incredible high-shine intensity, making your lips the star of your makeup look all while providing hydration during these cold winter months. Raved about by beauty guru Jaclyn Hill, it’s gained popularity for being the ideal neutral tone for a variety of skin tones.
TOO FACED - Birthday Suit

Strip down with this rich and pigmented rosy-beige shade that provides ultimate hydration and comfort because of it’s cocoa-butter infused formula. Easy enough for everyday, you don’t have to be too meticulous in application because it wears beautifully and is meant to be built-up.
WET N WILD - Bare It All

This drugstore dupe can definitely sit with it’s high end competitors. This lipstick is semi-matte with a peachy-mauve tone, making it a hybrid in both categories. Also easy for everyday, it’s the ideal wash of color for my girls who like to stick to the natural “my-lips-but-better” look.
NYX - Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee

Give us the gloss! NYX knew what they were doing when they created this classic. The “liquidy” consistency gives off high shine without too much slip, and helps create the most-wanted “wet” look trend of this year. Wear alone for a subtle shine or layer on top of your favorite nude for ultimate pay off.
MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Lip Lacquer Lipgloss in Sugar Sugar

I know what you’re thinking: SUPER SPLURGE. This price tag may seem steep for a gloss, but the product lives up to the hype. It offers a plumping look and high sparkle + shine to mock a voluminous and juicy appearance. The formula is slightly on the thicker side, however, it does last a lifetime.
