Weekends are for exploring! Most recently, I packed up the family to explore what NEWCITY had to offer. What's NEWCITY you ask? That's put quite simple: it's a shopping mecca situated smack dab in Lincoln Park. 

...and it did not disappoint!

We kicked off our afternoon with an oh-so-healthy lunch at LYFE Kitchen. My favorite on-the-go lunch destination. I can fool my kids into eating more veggies and my husband and I walk away feeling satisfied because the portions are just right. The wraps are outstanding and I highly recommend Art's Unfried Chicken.

The NEWCITY layout is ideal offering patrons shade and plenty of sun with an outdoor mall kind of feel. It's well appointed and has everything from home decor to boutiques with plenty of dining options.

After our LYFE lunch, we made a pit stop over at Mariano's. Because if my family is anything...we are a family that is always hungry! Behold their gorgeous macaron section. Yum!

The LP Mariano's location is expansive with two floors. One must stop by the wine bar when shopping because we have to stop about every five seconds to ogle over a sweet treat or something savory...depending on who you're talking to!

P/S The Oyster Bar is my favorite weekday date spot. Grab a glass of vino and indulge on a dozen. Never gets old. 

With even fuller bellies, we peeked into Z. Gallerie for a little home inspiration before heading to IT'SUGAR to get our candy game on. Actually, I was dragging my heels because I was in love with every vignette Z. Gallerie had to offer...bring on the metallics!

There was absolutely no chance we were walking by this delectable candy shop but then again, you don't see me complaining. How cute is this tank? We ended up with licorice and a lotta sour candy which made for a hyper ride home...oy!

If you haven't spent some time at Lincoln Park's new shopping gem - change that this Memorial Day weekend! There's amazing sales and events going on - something for everyone. Meeting Kelly for the first time (probably about five years ago) was like inhaling a giant ray of sunlight. Immediately warm and welcoming.
