International Women's Day
Happy #InternationalWomensDay to all of you! 🤍 Celebrating female entrepreneurs and my little world changers. I’m so excited for the path we have collectively carved out for the next generation. Let’s continue to be inclusive, use our voices and do great things. 🤍
Lucky doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel to be their mom.
We have something special to share, too. The girls and I have been working on a body positivi-tee capsule to normalize normal bodies no matter what size, shape, gender or color. Meet Eve.ry.bod.y - we are officially live and available for purchase. And we believe that all bodies are good bodies. We are here for you, we celebrate you and we love being fierce females.
It all started with this line drawing and one simple sentence: “There is no weight limit on beauty.”
The pandemic taught me this and so much more. I was truly fatigued by diet culture, societal pressure to be skinny and my own personal autoimmune disease journey. I wanted to use my platform to do something more and this became a teachable moment for our family.
And so, I’ve begun to share the hard conversations we’ve had and the jubilant moments that have built confidence and positivity. Each day we tell each other how beautiful we are, how smart we are and that we can do anything! We believe it! Undoubtedly, practice makes perfect. I share all of this and more on my social media channels so that you can find comfort in knowing we are all really the same. Our bodies are a gift and we need to speak to ourselves like we speak to our loved ones.
And so, on International Women’s Day, I share this capsule with you and your littles. Eve.ry.bod.y is for all of us.
It’s time to come out of hibernation. While January has been cold and gray, I’ve uncovered an amazing, suburban exhibition that is worth leaving the house for…and it’s only here through the end of March 2024. You must get tickets to the Downton Abbey Exhibition located at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie. It’s open weekly from Wednesday-Sunday.
