The best eyeshadow palettes.
Quickie post today as I spent the weekend literally spending all my money on May holidays and birthdays. May is pure insanity for us every year. It’s the fastest month that usually leaves me feel like I have whiplash come June 1.
Okay, so here’s the thing. This year I wanted to buy more playful gifts for my girlfriend birthdays so let’s just say I spent a lot of time at Ulta. Never a bad time and truly SO much that I wanted to snag for myself but didn’t. Which got me thinking…about eyeshadow palettes. There are literally 100’s on the market. Nudes, deep pigments, brights…you name it. But which ones are the best?
I can speak from experience that I own all 11 of these and they also serve as tremendous gifts paired with a travel size scent, mascara or lippie. Have fun with it! If you or your friends are anything like me, they will squeal with excitement because let’s face it - a new palette brings all the feels.
Happy shopping! xo

Let’s talk beauty. It’s been awhile hasn’t it? I’m the type of girl who opens a product and feels like she has to finish it which leads me to today’s line up of products that I am truly adoring and have been using all summer. I hate wasting product. Anyone else like that?
There are a lot of false assumptions when it comes to injectables and fillers. I get it. If you’ve never done it, all you can think of is guest starring in another season of Botched. None of us want to be that girl. Myself included.
When it comes to makeup and great beauty products, we all have our splurges. Something about high end cosmetics is appealing, it’s the pigmentation or the packaging. I can’t decide. Repeat makeup purchases get pricey, and for some items (like eyeshadow), you can barely tell the difference when you find a quality affordable option. The Real vs. Steal series continues and this time I’m bringing you the best budget friendly alternatives for some of the most popular luxury palettes.
I absolutely love makeup. All of it. But with age and maturity, I’ve dwindled my list based on my skin needs and speed! Let’s be honest, #momlife ain’t got time for those long morning routines. I am prepping lunches, chasing a puppy, showering and wrestling French braids. Don’t be jealous!
Ain’t no shame in the game. Yes, I get Botox and no, I am not embarrassed by it. This question and more has led me to FINALLY draft a post on the top destinations that I give by business to when it comes to beauty and self care. And, you should know that I am a loyalist. Once we have our trial and all is well, you’ll have me for life so please know that these are not paid sponsorships but rather the REAL DEAL!
Style goes in and out, but one thing’s for sure: you’ll never NOT need a classic nude lip. Nude lipstick is a staple in most of our collections, and never conflicts with whatever we may be wearing. It’s our go-to, our “ride or die” and #1. Sometimes it can be hard to find the perfect shade to compliment your undertones.
I’ve been coloring my hair since I was out of the womb…or so it seems. Many many moons ago I had dirty, dishwater blonde hair. My colorist has confirmed but that was then and this is now. While yes, I have had some hair disasters. read: green hair! For the most part we’ve been happy and healthy due to the amazing talent I’ve invested a LOT of money in over the years.
If you’ve been following me long enough, you know a few facts about me:
I work out quite a bit and it makes me a more sane person.
My time is very limited because family first!
I have IBS and am allergic to gluten and dairy.
I have two beautiful children and I am in my 40’s.
The area of my body that I struggle with the most <both physically and mentally> is my stomach.
READ: #5; I hate my stomach.
Do blondes really have more fun?
Maintaining this ashe-y blonde hue is an absolutely commitment. If you’re going to pursue this shade of blonde, you have to know what you’re signing up for. It’s been several years and lotsa dollars for me but I absolutely love it.
